Pearl & Mother-of-pearl Care

Our jewelry features cultured pearls from oysters and freshwater mussels. These unique natural freshwater pearls, handpicked for their constant luster, are a testament to their proper preservation. The natural mother-of-pearl, an organic semi-precious stone, boasts a translucent color, a natural texture, and an elegant luster that beautifully complements women. While its texture is hard, it's important to note that it's also brittle. Severe collisions or falls from high altitudes may result in cracks.

Precautions:

(1) Pearls cannot be worn when taking a bath. The surface of pearls and mother-of-pearl dulls when exposed to heat. Continuous exposure to high temperatures may cause them to fall off. In addition, contact with detergents will damage the pearls' luster.

(2) After putting on makeup and spraying perfume, put on pearl jewelry and go out; after returning home, remove the pearls and gently wipe them clean.

(3) For daily storage, it is best to keep them in a soft jewelry box away from direct sunlight. This will help preserve their quality and prevent damage.

Cleaning Method:
A soft cloth can remove light dirt from mother-of-pearl jewelry without scratching its beautiful and fragile surface. Use warm, soapy water and a soft brush if your jewelry looks dirty.

18K gold sterling silver care

We did not choose regular electroplated gold, simply "synthetic imitation gold." The cost of real gold electroplating is more than four times the cost of regular electroplating, and the color retention time is longer than ordinary electroplating. Our real gold electroplating is made of 18K gold attached to sterling silver, and we use 18K gold with a density of 14.9g/cm^3 and a gold content of 75%.

There are two reasons for discoloration:

(1) Items exposed to chemicals for a long time or are subject to collision or friction will cause the electroplating layer to corrode or wear, revealing the original color of 18K gold.

(2) Human sweat contains various substances, some of which will react chemically when in contact with the silver and copper in 18K gold, producing silver chloride and copper sulfide, making the jewelry dull.

Precautions:

(1) Part of the beauty of our 18 K gold sterling silver jewelry is that it thrives when it's worn. By wearing it frequently, you're enhancing your style and taking an active role in its care. The natural oils from your skin form a protective barrier, preventing oxidation from air and rain. The friction between your skin and the jewelry also helps remove any oxidation adhesion, keeping your jewelry looking its best.

(2) When not worn, store it in a sealed bag to prevent the production of silver oxide.
